National Reconciliation Week - 2023

29 May, 2023

National Reconciliation Week听(NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation.听

This year's NRW theme is 鈥楤e A Voice for Generations鈥.

These dates commemorate both the 1967 referendum in which Australians voted to alter elements of the constitution which discriminated against First Nations peoples, and the High Court's Mabo decision which recognised native title.

NRW is a time for individuals, organisations, workplaces, schools, universities and community groups to advance understanding of reconciliation within their own places and their own lives.
